The Home Care Supervisor directs the Independent Living Services program, in the designated service area, supervising independent living assistants and office coordinator(s). The Home Care Supervisor is responsible for the direction and oversight of care. The Home Care Supervisor works under the supervision of the Home Care Manager and the general direction of the Executive Director.
ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the assigned Independent Living Assistants (ILAs). This includes, but is not limited to all aspects of the hiring process, supervision, coaching, compliance and discipline.
Routine on-call accessibility for Independent Living Assistant and client needs.
Make sure that compliance is maintained with regard to supervisory visit frequency and if aide is to be present or not for the particular visit.
Responsible for upkeep and delivery of all communications with payers related to client service eligibility and pass on to various departments within the Agency.
Make referrals as necessary to other services. Communicate regularly with the Care Coordinator regarding referrals to the Home Care program and any needs of clients as they occur.
Coordinate services with other agencies. Maintain good public relations with other providers and doctors in the area leaving Agency materials at the various locations.
Supervise the duties of the Office Coordinator and ensure staff maintains technological skills, decision making, maintaining office and communication with others; Holding them accountable for all aspects of their assigned duties.
Monitor training software to ensure aides are in compliance with the State of Arkansas regulations regarding annual in-service hours, and maintain their personnel file.
Monitor client database for authorizations, aide schedules, and approving schedules entered by Office Coordinator.
Monitor applicant tracking system as needed for hiring purposes.
Work with other Supervisors to share staff as needed to maintain schedules.
Adhere to Agency policy and procedures as stated in the Agency employee handbook, the Arkansas Department of Health rules and regulations for Private Care Agencies, Medicaid rules and regulations as well as other appropriate regulations to maintain compliance.
Perform other duties as assigned by Home Care Manager, and management.

Basic Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A licensed nurse or one who has completed two years of full-time study at an accredited institution of higher education. An individual who has a high school diploma or GED may substitute one (1) year of full time employment in a supervisory capacity in a healthcare facility or community-based agency for one (1) year at an institution of higher education.
SOFTWARE SKILLS REQUIRED
