Volunteer Program Developer

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Prepare recruiting and training materials. This duty is performed weekly.
  2. Responsible for advocating and protecting the rights of residents of long-term care. This duty is performed weekly.
  3. Responsible for offering solutions and interpreting local, state, and/or federal regulations pertaining to long-term care facilities. This duty is performed weekly.
  4. Provides technical assistance to facilities in the organization and operation of family. This duty is performed weekly.
  5. Documents complaints, issues or problems pertaining to long-term care residents and/or facilities and meets with appropriate parties to the issue. This duty is performed weekly.
  6. Recruit volunteers through print and voice media, community organizations and one-on-one contact. This duty is performed monthly.
  7. Coordinate training for volunteers. This duty is performed irregularly.
  8. Coordinate placement of volunteers in long-term care facilities. This duty is performed irregularly.
  9. Motivate and encourage volunteers. This duty is performed monthly.
  10. Provide recognition to volunteers. This duty is performed annually.
  11. Job requires extensive driving and a valid Arkansas driver's license. This duty is performed monthly.
  12. Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. This duty is performed irregularly.

Additional Information

13.06 per hour

Office location Jonesboro

Company car provided for daily business travel

Flexible part time schedule; 20 hours per week

This is a Safety Sensitive position

Basic Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• High School diploma or equivalent with six month experience in aging services or group development and activities.
• Database, Presentation/PowerPoint, Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing skills
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Organization and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to communicate with and respect people from a variety of social, economic and ethnic backgrounds
